Badal started with a simple observation: our homes and warehouses are full of things we do not use, while we keep spending on things we need. What if those two lists could meet?

Make value exchange fair, human and sustainable

We want to give everyone a smarter way to get what they need from what they already have. No price tags, no middlemen setting the terms. Just people and businesses agreeing on what is fair, with technology quietly doing the hard part of finding each other.

Our story

The oldest idea in commerce, with its oldest problem finally solved

Bartering built the first markets. It worked because people knew each other and could see what was on offer. It faded because finding the right person, with the right thing, at the right time, became almost impossible as cities grew.

Badal was founded in Dubai to fix exactly that. Artificial intelligence reads what you have and what you need, and finds the person or business whose lists mirror yours. The handshake stays human. The searching is finally effortless.

Badal is built by a small team based in Dubai who share one conviction: the most meaningful transactions are the ones between people. Having spent our careers building technology, we kept returning to one of humanity’s oldest habits, trading what we have for what we need, and to the one problem that always held it back: finding the right person at the right time. Badal is our answer. It pairs the trust and directness of a handshake with an AI that does the searching, so bartering can work at the scale of a city, not just a village.

Badal is built for the Middle East and North Africa: a region where bartering has deep roots, where communities still trade on trust, and where a new generation is asking harder questions about waste, value and consumption. We launch across MENA first, in Arabic and English, with more regions to follow.
